BTCV Carbon Army
Throughout June BTCV, the UK’s largest environmental volunteering charity, is helping communities and individuals take the first step to becoming more self sufficient to help cut carbon emissions.
Tom Flood CBE, BTCV’s Chief Executive, explains: “Anyone and everyone can grow their own – even if they don’t have a garden. It’s easy to grow a few herbs on a window box or delicious tumbling cherry tomatoes in a hanging basket.
“It only takes a few minutes to get going. You could be harvesting vegetables and fruit all summer and you’ll be taking a stand against climate change and proving that positive action can make a difference. We need lots more people to join our Carbon Army and take positive action on climate change.”
Learn more about becoming more self sufficient by ordering BTCV’s free Good Food Growing Guide – a colourful book packed with top tips and celebrity recipes.

BTCV is committed to reducing climate change and encouraging practical action. It supports communities across the UK to grow food and learn how to become more self sufficient.
