Food Safety Week 9 -12 June
Food Safety Week will be taking place this summer between 9-13 June, with a range of events being run across the UK in schools, community groups and local councils, to highlight the importance of food safety and hygiene in the home.
This year, the Agency is creating an exciting new theme for Food Safety Week, based on the 4 Cs (cooking, cleaning, chilling and cross-contamination). It will be unveiled on thier consumer advice site www.eatwell.gov.uk on the 9 June.
To support events being organised locally, a range of publicity materials will be available, free of charge. Although the Food Safety Week theme will remain 'top secret' until the week itself, you can pre-order a range of items.
Items can be ordered from foodstandards@ecgroup.co.uk or 0845 606 0667 and will be delivered in mid-May, giving you the opportunity to plan and refine your food hygiene events.
